What Free Spirit Flowers offers

Flowers grown nearby, in step with the season.

No air miles, no identical bunches and no pretending every flower is available all year. Just what is looking good on the plot, freshly cut and gathered with a free spirit.

Seasonal bunches grown on our hidden allotment plot in Carshalton. Launched at the Carshalton Lavender Harvest in July 2026, next market 31st August 2026. Autumn dates will be shared as they are booked in

Friday Flowers

A possible regular Friday bunch — freshly cut, locally grown and ready for your home or to give away. I’ll introduce it only if enough local people register their interest.

Why these flowers are different

Grown here. Cut fresh. Never quite the same twice.

I grow on an allotment in Carshalton, so the flowers follow the weather rather than a catalogue.

That means bunches with movement, scent and varieties you may not see in a supermarket. They are cut close to home and sold when they are naturally at their best.

Looking further ahead

When the flowers pause, the growing continues.

The flower year winds down in November. Over winter I’ll have time to share practical growing content, before workshops begin to take shape next year.

Patience, plus a touch of neglect

“I took them home, I lovingly planted them, and then I watched and waited. And waited, and waited.”

These irises eventually flowered in 2010. I was ridiculously proud of them.
